You've Gotta See This!

Don't you love the Old Lady Series?  Well, my blogging friend, Marlana, at Lil Country Kindergarten has made some of the cutest activities to go along with the book, The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie.   Here are a few things she has made:
You'll see her book above... then a retelling activity...

Magnet Board Printables

and that my friends is not all....  a shared reading lesson, a graph, a sequencing activity and a syllable sort.  Wow!  She really outdid herself!  I plan on using all of her creations next week.  Run over there to download all of her goodies! Just click on her button below.

Marlana gave me the idea to create a book for one of my guided reading groups for next week.  This group is also working on beginning sounds.  And... I could tie it all together in my writing station. So this is what I came up with.....

If you like you can download the book here.  The beginning sound sort here.  The writing station and vocabulary words here. I am going to encourage the children draw  pictures to go along with their writing. Please email me if you have any questions.  Graphics: Scrappin Doodles!
Thank you for all the kind comments you have been leaving me.... and please think about following my blog if you download.  It would be awesome to know you like my things enough to join my blog!

Surprises! Freebie! Excitement!

I am so excited!  I have so much to share with you today.  Where should I start?  First, 3 great blogging friends gave me this award!  Wow!

Thank you Barbi, Kerri and Laura!  You can see their awesome blogs here!  I love these bloggers .. and they always have great things to share!

Then came the double Pow  ---- Wow!
I have asked to be an author for the #1 blog for teachers...

Me?  I have been doing a happy dance.... I am sure my neighbors think I have lost it!   I am so honored to be recognized by all of these great bloggers!

Now for my super friends that come to my little blog everyday and leave me all the great comments about the things I share.  This is my first attempt at this...  Write the Room.  I love integrating math and literacy.  So, my little ones will have to find the picture, count the tens frame and then write the number word as they fill in the sentence on their recording page.
What do you think of my Write the Room activity?  I am hoping you guys help me with this to make sure I am on the right track!  Just click here to download.
