Do You like Candy Corn?

I do not like to eat candy corn!  It is toooo sweet for me!  However, when I saw these cuties, I changed my mind!  Don't you love them?   I also love when I can use the same things several different ways with my kinders..... work smarter not harder!
I can use the candy corn as a memory match or I can use them on this pumpkin math mat and use real candy corn or candy pumpkins.
You can use dice like these and have the children roll, match the number or 10 frames and then count out candy corn.

Thank you, thank you! I was just getting ready to make something to do counting with candy corn for my Kindergarteners! I found great candy corn buckets at Walmart, and then with candy corn in them, I will have the students count candy corn.

Thanks so much,
From First Year Teacher, Amanda

Thank you so much!! You are so creative. I have also noticed that my kiddos like to practice "subtraction" when using candy corn. Somehow, they start with ten pieces of candy and by the time math is over they have only a few left...hmmmm :) Thanks again!!

Thanks for sharing! I love using the real candy corn as counters for math in the fall, but for the second year in a row, I can't do it. Did you know that most bags of candy corn have a 'peanut allergy' warning?? I had NO idea until I had a severe peanut allergy last year (and of course, I have one again). Sadly, this also means no Reeses PB Cups for the teacher!! :(

These are wonderful! We can never have enough activities with ten frames.

I LOVE candy pumpkins, but I'm kind of eh on candy corn... is that weird? :)

What a great math activity! I love the use of the ten frames (as we are working on being able to recognize them with fluency). Our school does not allow us to use candy so I'll have to use something else on the pumpkin mat- Halloween themed mini erasers perhaps?!

Thanks again for a fabulous freebie! :)

I can't get this to print large enough...it's very small and my printer cuts a portion off. What am I doing wrong??

I don't know.... try this. Make sure your adobe program is up to date. While in google docs, click on download original... I think it is in the download button on the upper left. If all fails, email me and I will send the file to you!
Thank you so much for coming to my blog!

I just wanted to stop by and thank you so much for these. We have used them all month long as part of our math routines. I was able to print a set for every child in my classroom to practice counting and playing games with these cards at home with their families. I am keeping my fingers crossed that you are going to make another set for November for us to use. We love them! :)

Pam, these are so cute! I'm in love with the candy corns and I love that they are math printables. There aren't nearly enough cute math printables--especially for free! Keep up the great work!
