A Peek at My Writing Station

I have been trying to change up my writing station each week.  This week I am going to laminate the sample of the beginning sound match above and bind it into a book. There are 4 beginning sound mats in all.   The children will use foam letters in the squares to make the beginning sound.  There is a recording sheet to complete the center.
What are some things you are doing in your writing station?.... I would love to hear some new ideas!   Thank you for following me and all the nice comments.  You guys are great!  Just click on the pic above to download your copy!  Graphics: Scrappin Doodles!

I use something very similar. I will try to post it later. By the end of 1st quarter my kiddos are expected to at least use the beginning sound/letter to write words. 2nd Q is the same, with the addition of "some" ending sounds. So, I have created something similar to yours with some beg. sounds and some ending sounds. My recording sheet looks a little different. I love this! Thanks for sharing!!

This is great! I like the addition of the sentence for my higher kiddos. My kids love to read/write the room. I use the papers from Kinderglynn and bind them in a 3 pronged folder. The kids love to use cheap sunglasses with the lenses popped out.

Pam,
Thank you. This is my 24th year of teaching and after 10 years as a Instructional Coach have returned to the classroom (budget cuts). A few of my students are at Kinder level and below. Your activities are great.
